Math 199 Course Descriptions.
- Section 112: “Onramp to College Algebra” will focus on modeling and solving to prepare students for MATH 112; by the end, students will be able to interpret mathematical models, represent mathematical information symbolically, and use arithmetical and algebraic methods to solve problems.
- Section 115: “Onramp to Precalculus” will focus on modeling, graphing, and functional relationships to prepare students for MATH 115; by the end, students will be able to understand the concept of functions, and master algebraic techniques and manipulations necessary for problem-solving and modeling.
- Section 220: “Onramp to Calculus” will focus on enhancing students’ knowledge of a variety of functions to prepare students for MATH 220; by the end, students will be able to solve problems involving a variety of functions, understand functional relationships, and apply fundamental properties necessary for problem-solving.
