This course aims to develop learners’ skills in identifying, selecting, justifying the implementation of learning technologies in the overall learning environment design and development process. The course requires learners to align learning theories, instructional system design models, existing learning technologies, and the learning environment design blueprint together thus to solve organizational learning and performance problems.

The design aspect of this course is constructivist in nature in that learners would gather necessary information from course materials in order to support their design thinking and decisions. The instructor will provide feedback to help learners improve their design thinking grounded in learning and design theories.

The course provides an overview of current learning technology applications across organizations and operational functions. Learners are expected to work productively in teams as well as to learn autonomously, which are essential characteristics of any learning technology professional. The role of instructor in this course is to facilitate the learning processes instead of prescribing them step-by-step.

The technical requirement for this course is minimal. Learners are expected to produce presentable final deliverables using Microsoft Office applications and Digication.
