MUS 103 is a wide-ranging introduction to music theory, analysis, and musicianship. My primary goal in teaching this class is to lay a foundation for students to better understand music as they hear it, read it, perform it, and create it. I believe that every student has the right to a full, engaging music education, regardless of previous experience or background. In that spirit, I try to approach every topic in multiple ways, with an emphasis on hands-on creative application of every facet of music theory.
