By the end of the term, ideally you'll recognize that you have improved both your emotional intelligence (EI) and ability to lead a strengths-based lifestyle. More importantly, you will recognize how continuing to focus on developing these areas will provide the most important key towards you attaining your desired college experience, career and personal success.

Throughout this course, you will explore how your emotional intelligence and your top 5 strengths-based themes influence the outcome of your daily experiences and interactions with others, which supports the above claim. You will be exposed to understanding the various dimensions of EI, especially those where there is room for growth. Additionally, the individual and inter-relationship between your top 5 strengths-based themes, EI and your overall disability management.

I have benefited immensely from learning about emotional intelligence and how to support students increasing their skills. We hope you feel the same way upon leaving this course. TAs and BRSS Admin have completed the same self- assessments you will complete. So, I’m only asking you to do what I have done and benefited from. Embrace this as an opportunity to grow and you will.
